We were so happy to spend time at the Good River
B&B, a classicl Alaskan log house. It's a quiet
and serene place, with the best hosts ever. Breakfast
was so tasty, the bread home baked and the jams are
better than anything you can buy. The rooms are cozy
and there was no trouble sharing the bathrooms. The
beds are comfy and it was a pleasure to meet other
guests and sit around in the livingroom hearing their
stories and solving the world's problems. I think
we made life-long friends here.
The 4th of July was fabulous. I think the whole community
turned out for the parade, games, auction and dance.
The glaciers and whales were pretty fine too.

We had a great time in Gustavus and
Glacier Bay at the bed and breakfast.
It was especially fun for the kids,
who not only found things to do for themselves, but
showed us things we would never have discovered for
ourselves. It was my first kayak paddle, and it was
easy. I liked seeing all the seals and little birds
diving and bobbing around and going about their lives
with no thought to our kayaks.
Thanks for putting together a package
for everything the family wanted to do. Your help
was invaluable.

Way cool place,
The bikes were the greatest, no hills.
Saw lots of ice, glaciers are bigger than they look
in the pictures. The trees too, they said the cabin
was built out of three trees they cut down in the
forest.
Everybody was nice and the kids here
have a blast. They all have bikes and get to go anywhere
by themselves.
How do you like our human totem pole?

Hey
Guys,
This
trip was incredible. It's my second time to Glacier
Bay, and way more fun. Good River is a fabulous place
to stay, and I couldn't believe that Roy gave me the
fish to take home. What a generous thing to do. You
and Ruth were so gracious - you made all our arrangements,
took care of all the details and it even cost less
than what I figured if I did it on my own. You can
be sure I'll be back. My brother will be up next year.
He thinks he'll catch an even bigger fish... ha ha.
Many
thanks, Eric 2004

I just wanted to thank you for all you have done.
The cabin was so much more than I expected - this
place is just beautiful. You are both truly something
else. If I have any good pictures, I'll send them
your way. Thanks again, Tim 2004

Thank you for a wonderful stay in Gustavus. We had an amazing
trip and very much enjoyed out time at the Good River B&B.
A highlight of our Alaska vacation was definitely the hospitality
we experienced in Gustavus - especially at the Good River
Bed & Breakfast.

What a treat it was - to this day we still talk about
the moose sightings, bicycling to
Glacier Bay Park, and fishing. There's no doubt we
will return.

Greetings from Minnesota
Thanks so much for suggesting that we fly from
Juneau on the little air taxi. Here's a picture
we took from the plane on the way over. The pristine
wilderness is spectacular -not a sign of human presence
in most of the Tongass Forest we flew over.
I think we caught the very last of the spray from
a humpback whale that surfaced right off the point
on the left. It was so exciting - we could even
see it under the water, though none of those pictures
turned out.
Thanks for a great visit -- Dan & Barb 2002

Dale and I had a wonderful time in
Alaska overall and a great visit to GOOD RIVER. Don't
know when we will be getting back to Alaska, but you
can bet we want to visit again.

Thank you for the splendid accommodations
and kind and generous hospitality this past summer.
The trip all came together so fast and yet we were
remarkable fortunate to have found you on short notice.
It was a long way from anywhere, but we felt so much
at home with you at Good River. The hosts were so
unearthly and disarmingly friendly and helpful. After
a long day of fishing, we knew that cozy comfort and
good cheer and kindred spirited friends awaited us
back at Good River. You may not realize how significant
your efforts are at bringing a little sanity back
into people's lives who are caught up in the machinations
of the lower 48 commercial drone. You are doing a
great service to mankind. Good River will be our destination
when we return to Gustavus, and it is one of the principle
reasons we want to. We will tell the world about you,
and look expectantly forward to the glorious day when
we might be so fortunate as to return. The best of
all regards to you.

Thank you for your beautiful postcard.
In Gustavus, beautiful white snow would spread over
the ground. Here in Tokyo, it is very cold but never
snow. I sometimes remember wonderful trip, such as
great glacier, beautiful forest, whales, etc., in
Gustavus. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and Happy
New 21st Century
